For Operators: A calmer way to handle emergencies
ResQ approached the product as a systems problem, not just a service problem. The goal wasn't to eliminate emergencies, but to give operators a calmer, more predictable way to handle them.
Work orders can be submitted in seconds, tracked in real time, and resolved with clear accountability across restaurants and vendors.
Request and manage repairs in one place
Submit work orders in seconds and track them end-to-end without juggling calls, texts, and emails.
Coordinate with trusted service providers
A vetted network of vendors keeps quality high and reduces the time spent finding the right help.
Approve and pay invoices in-app
Approvals, payments, and documentation live with the work order—no paper trail to chase down.
See spend and operational health clearly
Preventative maintenance and reporting give operators visibility into what's working and what's costing them.
My Role: How the work came together
As Product Design Lead, my role sat at the intersection of product, brand, and strategy. We were a small, fast-moving team, and design was embedded directly in how decisions were made.
I designed and helped ship two mobile apps in parallel: one for restaurants and one for vendors. Much of the work happened live, under real constraints, with shifting priorities. There was a constant tension between what had to be done now and what we could improve later.
I worked to create a visual language that felt modern, confident, and credible. I rethought the logo, typography, color system, and UI patterns. I oversaw the team to ensure they carried those decisions consistently through every surface.
Two mobile apps in parallel
Designed and shipped restaurant- and vendor-facing apps simultaneously, balancing two distinct user needs.
Brand and product, together
Rebuilt the visual language—logo, typography, color, UI patterns—to establish trust on both sides of the marketplace.
Embedded in strategy
Sat at the intersection of product, brand, and strategy on a small team where design influenced direction.
Grounded in field research
Conducted research with restaurant operators and vendors that shaped flows from work orders to invoice approvals.
The Outcome: A flexible foundation built to scale
The result wasn't a perfectly polished system on day one—but it was a strong, flexible foundation that scaled with the business and helped carry ResQ through its next stage of growth and successful Series A.
Trust was designed into the brand
A modern, credible visual language helped operators and vendors feel confident on the platform.
Speed without chaos
Work orders, approvals, and payments live together so urgent issues feel manageable, not frantic.
A foundation for growth
Patterns and systems that scaled with the team as ResQ expanded its product surface and customer base.
Two sides, one product
A unified design system serving restaurants and vendors with experiences tailored to each.
